KIT-Extension-Spindles
The KIT telescopic system - the new generation of extension spindles.
With the KIT telescopic system, KETTLER has set new standards in the underground installation of tapping and heavy-duty fittings in the DN 40 to DN 300 range. Instead of an unmanageable variety of products, you get a technically unique, efficient and durable system solution that offers maximum safety and user-friendliness.
Perfectly matched components
The KIT system consists of four precisely coordinated components:

KIT-Telescopic-Spindle-Extensions
KIT-VAS and KOS telescopes
KIT telescopic extension spindles are suitable for underground installation for operating tapping bridges and gate valves from DN40 to DN 300.
KIT standard telescopes and KIT multi telescopes are characterized by the removable bell and the compression spring piece located at the lower end of the key bar.
The system can accommodate coupling sockets of different nominal widths and designs as well as different coupling modules or angle modules.
The system can be optimally adapted to almost all tapping bridges and valves by using different dirt disks and adapters.
KIT locking ring
Securely fix KIT telescopes at any extension height - in no time at all. By turning the locking ring through 180°, KIT telescopes can be fixed at any extension height. This prevents the telescopic extension spindle from dropping unintentionally when it is not fixed.
Structure of the KIT telescope

KIT-MEMO-Telescope KOS
KIT-MEMO telescopic extension spindles have a mechanism that makes it possible to read the status of the valve underneath between open and closed on the telescopic head. The range of application is for all heavy-duty valves from 5 to 56 turns. The display is set automatically by closing and opening the fitting once and is then tamper-proof.
KIT-Coupling-Modules
KIT coupling sets for enlarging the tube coverage area of KIT standard telescopes and KIT multi-telescopes. KIT coupling sets can be fitted in a few simple steps by simply plugging them together. By using several coupling sets and just one KIT telescope, any desired pipe coverage can be achieved. The system can be quickly and easily dismantled back into its basic components using disassembly pliers. Thanks to the inserted thrust piece, each coupling set can accommodate coupling sockets of different nominal widths and designs. Stocking coupling modules of different lengths minimizes the number of telescopic variants and leads to an increase in stock turnover.
All KIT coupling sets are fitted with a protective cover and consist of a 25 mm coupling rod and a 63 mm PE coupling tube and can be individually combined with each other. Guidance is ensured by an internal centering disc.
The use of various dirt disks and adapters enables optimum adaptation to almost all tapping bridges and gate valves.

KIT disassembly pliers
The disassembly pliers make it easy to disengage the pressure pieces, allowing the KIT system to be easily and quickly disassembled back into its basic components.
KIT-Extensions
KIT extension
KIT extensions can be used to quickly extend KIT telescopes VAS and KOS at a later date. The KIT extension is fitted without pins or tools by simply plugging it on and locking it in place. With the telescope already in place, perfect adaptation to the new construction situation is possible without any problems. The adapter rings made of glass fiber-reinforced polyamide (PA-GF) inserted in the lower bell area are precisely matched to the edge caps of the KIT telescopes and give the extension optimum stability.
All KIT extensions, except KIT memo extensions, are also available with GRP protectors.
KIT MEMO extension KOS
KIT telescopes can be retrofitted with a MEMO function simply by attaching the MEMO extension. KIT MEMO extensions have a mechanism that makes it possible to read the open or closed status of the valve underneath at the head of the extension. The range of application is for all heavy-duty valves from 5 to 56 turns. The indicator is set automatically by closing and opening the valve once and is then tamper-proof.

KIT-Angle-Modules
KIT angle
The KIT angle allows the telescopic extension spindle to be deflected sideways in a 360° circle, offering flexible solutions for obstacles such as kerbs, cables, pipes or lanes. Various versions allow three-dimensional adjustment. Increased torques are reliably transmitted with the KIT multi-telescope made of V2A.

KIT brackets are fitted with a protective cover including a spirit level vial and consist of two ST52 universal joints that are connected to each other via a VA torsion shaft. Encapsulated by a PE coupling tube and two guide bends, the KIT bracket forms a complete unit. Three different versions allow more flexible adaptation to the respective construction project.
The red operating head without pressure piece enables a functional test without the use of a telescope. An operating head with pressure piece is available for final assembly.
KIT operating heads for tapping bridges and gate valves are made of V2A material and are actuated in the tapping bridges area via a 12 to 14 mm cold-forged square rod, and in the gate valve area via a 27 to 32 mm cast square spindle.
KIT-Flex-Angle-Modules
KIT flex angle
For axial alignment of KIT telescopes. Slopes or valves installed at an angle make it difficult to align extension spindles axially. The KIT flex angle helps to compensate for this inclination up to max. 40°.
KIT-Coupling-Sockets
KIT coupling sockets
Connection between KIT actuating rods and valves of different makes and nominal sizes. All KIT coupling sockets and connectors have a 25 mm square socket with a continuous 7 mm bore to accommodate all KIT telescopic couplings and KIT multi-telescopic couplings as well as the various coupling modules and angles. With the aid of disassembly tonges, sockets and connectors can be quickly and easily disassembled and reused.
The KIT coupling sleeves are available in the dimensions VAS, DN40/50, DN65/80, DN100/150, DN175/200 and DN250/300.
KIT coupling sockets for KIT telescopes are made of malleable cast iron, are electrogalvanized and can be adapted and replaced thanks to their special geometry. The special stainless steel spindle pin is attached to the spindle bore by a pin plug for easy removal.
KIT duplex quick-release sockets for KIT telescopes for tool-free installation on valve spindles. Instead of the spindle pin, they have an EPDM spring mechanism in two integrated, beveled and stainless pins mounted in plastic sleeves.
KIT duplex quick-release socket
As an alternative to the KIT sleeve, the KIT duplex quick-release sleeve enables tool-free pinning by simply pressing the sleeve onto the valve spindles up to a nominal diameter of DN300. The sleeve can be permanently detached thanks to the PE sleeves inserted inside the pin hole and can be detached without tools.
The KIT duplex quick-release sockets are available in the dimensions VAS, DN40/50, DN65/80, DN100/150, DN175/200 and DN250/300.
KIT butterfly castings
The KIT butterfly castings are available for dampers with shaft diameters of 16mm, 18mm, 20mm, 22mm, 25mm and 30mm.
KIT ball valve sockets
The KIT ball valve sockets are available in connection sizes 20mm, 25mm and 30mm.
KIT globlet socket (hexagon)
KIT-Dirt-Disks and adaptors
KIT universal dirt disks and bells
The universal dirt disks consist of a PE-HD disk with one or two separate vulcanized steel inserts. Within its parameters, type A adapts to the fitting contour and type B to the spindle diameter. They serve to precisely seal the sleeve tube against sanding from below and are snapped into the KIT bell to prevent rotation.
