VARIO-Standard
Versatile
The VARIO-operatingoperating key is a special tool for operating valves and hydrants above or below ground and in manholes, directly or by means of handwheels, right up to shut-off posts. The various operating inserts can be changed quickly and easily using integrated pressure pieces. The use of a ratchet, universal joint or an additional extension makes the VARIO extremely versatile. The tube-in-tube design, made entirely of stainless steel, enables a torque of up to 400 Nm to be transmitted.
Ergonomic
The height adjustability of the VARIO operating key allows the user to adopt an upright posture when operating fittings. From an ergonomic point of view, this position is extremely easy on the back. The cross handle, which can be pulled out on both sides, also enables increased torque to be achieved.
Compact
The VARIO wrench, including all the necessary components, is stored compactly and securely in the special bag supplied thanks to the removable cross handle. The tube-in-tube design ensures additional weight savings, which makes transportation easier.
VARIO-Stepless
Our new VARIO stepless now makes it even easier for you to adopt an upright posture. The infinitely variable height adjustment, in the range from 1000 to 1560 mm, allows you to adjust the operating key to the perfect ergonomic position in almost all situations.

VARIO-LED
The VARIO-LED has the option of illuminating the operating square, especially for night-time use or in dark places. This ensures accurate and precise positioning of the operating key on the spindle square. The lighting can be switched on or off in three simple steps.
Inductive charging and LED technology enable permanent and problem-free use in wet and dirty areas.
VARIO-Carbon
The Vario-operating key is a special tool with interchangeable operating sockets for opening and closing tapping bridges, gate valves and hydrants above or below ground.
The design has been chosen to provide the user with a manageable and convenient operating key .
Thanks to its height adjustability, it enables an upright posture when operating fittings. An increased torque can be achieved thanks to the extendable cross handle on both sides.
Outstanding properties result from the use of carbon fiber-reinforced plastic CFRP (carbon).
Carbon is the innovative material for products with the highest quality and performance requirements. This advantage was used for the Vario operating key.
The new "Vario carbon actuating wrench", for example, has
has sufficient reserves to withstand torque loads of up to 400 Nm despite its low weight of 1700 g.
From an ergonomic point of view, there are further advantages for the user. An optimum posture combined with low torsion ensures efficient and error-free work. Thanks to its high stability combined with flexibility, the new Vario carbon operating key supports the user in carrying out their work and at the same time helps to prevent physical problems with the joints and spine.
SUPER-VARIO
The SUPER-VARIO can be loaded with a torque of up to 1000 Nm due to the reinforcement of the basic components, such as the cross handle, telescopic linkage and KOS operating square. All special components are also available for the SUPER-VARIO, but can only be loaded up to 400 Nm due to their design or application.
